Microsoft Word: You Are Working Without a Word Work File and Memory is Nearly Full

I have been struggling with a Microsoft Word problem for a few weeks now. Whenever I opened a document and then began changing it, I occasionally received an error message. Once the error message appeared, all the buttons and options within Word became grayed out. This prevented me from saving my work that I had done up to that point. It became frustrating to say the least.

To find a solution to the problem I turned to the Internet. It appears that this error is quite popular as a search in Google produced many results. I tried many of the solutions, but none seemed to have worked for me. It wasn’t until I decided to look further into the error that I found the solution that appears to have fixed the problem.

4 WordPress Plugins to Help Protect Your Blog

If you have a WordPress blog, then you have probably thought about securing and protecting your blog. I have read about many instances where someone has lost their blog because it was hacked. In some of the cases, the owner of the blog had to start over because they didn’t have a backup. Protecting your blog is just as important as protecting your computer.

For the past few months I have been learning about securing a WordPress blog, and have implemented many changes into Technically Easy to help keep it secure. At the same time I have also began using plugins that will help protect it from potential deadly visitors, as well as ensure that if something does happen, I won’t lose everything. In this post I will look at a few plugins that I use to protect my WordPress blog.

Find RSS Scrapers with the CopyFeed WordPress Plugin

A WordPress plugin called CopyFeed or CopyFeed can help you track down any RSS feed scrapers that are copying your hard work and publishing it on their blogs. This is a common problem for anyone that authors a blog. While you can’t stop anyone from taking your content and publishing it on their own blog, there are ways you can track them down and take action. If you own a WordPress blog, there are many plugins that can help you, including the CopyFeed plugin that I will discuss in this post.

Keep in mind that there are several different methods of tracking down RSS feed scrapers, but I will focus this post on the plugin mentioned above. I will probably be looking at other such plugins in the future.

  • 1,000,000 Visits to Technically Easy

    1,000,000 Visits to Technically Easy

I was looking at my all-time visitors stats for Technically Easy and noticed that I was approaching a milestone: 1,000,000 (1 million) visits. I enjoy looking at the visitor stats for my blog, mainly because I am a stats-junkie, but the stats provide a lot of information about who visits my blog.

Sometimes I also like to view my all-time stats – take a look at my visitor information since I started the blog (June 23, 2007). It was about two weeks ago that I noticed I was approaching this milestone. Since then, I decided to write a post about it, and look at some of the stats since I started this blog.

Don’t Lose Your Data: Create a Disaster Recovery Strategy

Anyone who is in charge of managing their own data or someone else’s data should have a disaster recovery strategy in place in case anything ever happens to the site where their data is stored. By creating a good strategy, you can ensure that your data is never lost and you can even avoid spending excessive amounts of money on forensic data recovery.

Many people fail to properly back up their data, whether it’s at work or at home. This is your first line of defense against losing your data and you should back up your data at least once a day or once a week, such as using a storage server. When backing up your data onsite, start by purchasing two external backup drives that have a large enough capacity to store everything that is on your hard drive. At least one of these drives should be both waterproof and fireproof. It will also help if it is somewhat shock resistant. By having a hard drive that can survive the elements, it can become a key storage device for your disaster recovery strategy.
