Tmart 8GB Simple MP3 Player Review

Tmart 8GB Simple MP3 Player

I remember way back in the 1990s when MP3 files first started to become popular. Computers back then didn’t have large hard drives, and external drives weren’t as readily available as they are today. Playing music on compact discs was the best way to listen to music. When the MP3 file started to become popular people gravitated to that format because you can easily have good quality music using a fraction of the storage space of a CD.

When Apple released their iPod music player and iTunes, MP3 files really took off, and soon portable music was easier than ever to enjoy. While the iPods are still popular today, some may not want to spend so much for a music player, and may be looking for a much more affordable option. This is where something like the 8GB Black Simple Fashionable Exterior Plump MP3 Player could fill the needs of some.

A More Affordable MP3 Player

For those that are looking for a simple, and very affordable MP3 player, then the 8GB Black Simple Fashionable Exterior Plump MP3 Player available from www.tmart.com could easily fit that need.

This MP3 player is about as basic as you can get for an MP3 player, which also means that if you won’t fret if you accidentally lose it somewhere. The included contents are the player, a standard USB cable for connecting the device to your computer, a one page instruction manual and some earphones.

The player itself is compact – 1.97″ x 1.46″ x 0.39″ (L x W x H) and weighs only 3.07 oz. This makes it very easy to carry around in your pocket – any pocket.

The face of the device is made out of plastic while the back is made from thin metal. Both the headphone and USB connections are located on the bottom of the device, while a small on/off switch is on the right side of the device. The on/off switch is rather small, but can be switched with a little effort using your fingernails. When the device is turned on the blue screen is lit, and then goes black after a few seconds if not in use.

The one thing I liked about the player is how I could easily copy my music onto the device. I didn’t need to install any external software onto my computer. I simply used the supplied USB cable to connect the device to my computer. Once the device was turned on, Microsoft Windows installed the correct driver and I was able to see it in Windows Explorer as another drive. I could simply then just copy my MP3 files to the device without any issues.

While the 8GB of storage space doesn’t seem like much, you have to remember that this is just an MP3 player, and music files aren’t too large so you can store a lot of music on this device.

The earphones aren’t the best, and I didn’t find them to be comfortable. In this case I would use another set of headphones that were much better quality in both build and sound. I have always done this with any MP3 player that I have used in the past, and this one will be no exception.

The hardest part for me in operating the device was understanding the navigation. The one page instruction manual does show what each button does when playing music, it doesn’t explain how to navigate the menu system. It took some time to figure out how to access and navigate the menu using the “menu” button, and then the next and previous buttons.

I wish there was an instruction booklet that came with the device – even if it was 10 pages I would still find it more useful than the supplied instructions. But for the low price of the device I guess I can’t ask for too much.

If you are looking for a simple MP3 player that is very affordable, then you should have a look at the >8GB Black Simple Fashionable Exterior Plump MP3 Player available at Tmart. Of course, you can also check out additional Tmart MP3 players if you are looking for something else.
