Stop Spam Right at the Source – How To Finally Report Those Annoying Messages

I find that every time I write an article about getting rid of spam people cannot get enough. After all, 488,005,400 Americans use the Internet every day, many for work purposes, and spam is nothing but an annoyance. What prompted me to begin researching this and really getting the subjcet out there to the public was the fact that spam messages KEPT HAPPENING. Flashing messages, non-stop emails telling me I’m a winner, and pop-up ads that take over my screen never seemed to lessen. According to spamcop.net, there are approximately 10.1 spam message sent per second!

Although “x’ing” out these ads or deleting these emails works temporarily, I was ready for a more permanent solution. Fortunately, I found that reporting spam is fairly simple. Depending on whether you are concerned about the spam your company is dealing with or the spam you are personally dealing with will likely determine how you go about reporting it. There are two different approaches to deleting spam.

  • Handy Backup – A Great Addition to My Backup Process

Handy Backup – A Great Addition to My Backup Process

I think my search for finding a way to backup my data after Mozy has ended with Handy Backup. Since I discovered that Mozy was changing their pricing policy, and determining that the new prices were going to be too high for me, I have been looking for an alternative way of backing up my data. I knew that I needed software to assist with backing up my data, and I also needed a new plan to work with the software, so with Handy Backup I think I have found a new method.

When developing my process, I didn’t want to stray to far from my current one, with the exception of the online storage. With the amount of data (320+ GB) that I need to backup, and the fact that it is growing substantially each year, it seems only offline backup would work. By the looks of it, Handy Backup is just the software I need.

    Samsung SH-B123 Blu-Ray Drive Review

I recently decided to upgrade my DVD-ROM drive for the Samsung SH-B123 blu-ray drive. While I was looking at blu-ray writers as well, I found that I wasn’t going to burn many blu-ray discs in the future, and didn’t want to pay more for a drive that I wouldn’t need. The Samsung SH-B123 drive, however does burn both CD and DVD optical discs, so I still have the ability to burn discs, although I won’t be using it to backup my data.

After performing some research, as well as having a specific price point, I settled on the Samsung SH-B123 blu-ray drive to play blu-ray movies. After spending some time using the drive I was impressed with the drive, but it did come with a minor issue.

    Incapsula: New Version Review

A few months ago I switched to Incapsula to help increase the performance of my blog and at the same time add an additional level of security. After testing out the service for several weeks I wrote my review about Incapsula, and in that review I mentioned that the dashboard and reports were comprised of flash objects. This caused both the dashboard and reports to load very slowly.

Since that review, Incapsula has contacted me about a new version of their service. The new version totally redesigns the entire dashboard and reporting feature of their service. I was offered to have a look at their new version, which I was very happy about, and have had a good look at their new version, which just went live. After using their new version for some time, I do have a few thoughts regarding the extensive changes that they have made.
