How Did the Brand ‘Google’ Evolve?

Google basically has its hands in every kind of business these days, and it’s amazing to take a look at what Google has been able to achieve over the years. When you consider that Google started as a simple search engine that many people turned to in the early 21st century, it’s easy to see how it would be hard for anyone to predict where they are now.

With the help of a naming company and other important startup ideas, you can also find a way to turn your technology company into an Internet powerhouse.

Google was actually called BackRub, and it does not take the help of a naming company to figure out that the name needed to be changed. Now that Google is actually a word in the dictionary, it is safe to say that they made the right decision all those years ago.

Google makes its impact on multiple industries by making sure that they are delivering a product that everyone can understand and enjoy. If you cannot understand how something works, then you are probably not going to use it again in the future.

By making their search engine as simple as possible, Google was able to bring more people into the online world who wanted to research various topics.

Google took its first step into a more important role as a company when they launched Google Adwords. With these advertisements, they were able to dramatically increase the amount of overall revenue they were able to obtain on a yearly basis.

Google is by far the top search engine in the world at this point, and this new pay per click service is able to give them the money that they need to expand.

Adsense is what came right after Adwords, and it was at this point that it became clear that Google would mainly be an advertising company. This angered many of the company’s fans, but a business has to do everything it can to make sure that the shareholders are happy.

2005 is when Google really started to expand, with new features such as Google Maps and Google Earth leading the way. It’s obvious that Google was doing double work as a naming company with all of the new, exciting features that they were creating on a regular basis. 2005 was also the year that Google acquired Android.

By 2007, it had been clear that Google is going to be a player in the world of technology for quite some time as they became the 5th largest stock in the world. Although Facebook has taken over as the number one visited website in the United States, Google still has a large role to play in many different areas of technology.

By expanding to email, mobile phones, operating systems and more, it is clear that Google has decided that they are going to be much more than just a search engine. It will be interesting to see if Facebook goes down the same road and tries to expand to other online industries.
