There are many financial and business related blogs on the Internet. Most, if not all of these blogs take the world of finance very seriously. I don’t blame them, I take it very seriously at times myself.
Every now and then I come across a Web site that seems to go against the grain. In this case, a blog called MoneyMoose takes a more light-hearted, and humourous approach to the business world.

Design 
The design of MoneyMoose is nice and easy to navigate. Two sidebars, one on the left and one on the right provide the navigation, while the actual content is displayed between them. The author has chosen nice, complementing colours that are easy to look at and also makes the text on the page easy to read.
One thing I liked about how the author has laid out the information on the blog is where the ads are placed. The navigational elements are placed first on the left sidebar, followed by the ads down the page. On the right the author has chosen to mix a few ads in with the navigation, which doesn’t detract from the flow in any way.
The font and font size chosen for the content of the blog is nice and large and easy to read. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the quotations the author has included in some posts. The font size for those is rather small and some visitors may have trouble reading the text.
Overall, the design of MoneyMoose is well laid out, easy to navigate and read.
Focus
The focus of MoneyMoose is on the humorous side of business and the world of finance. The blog does stay focused for the most part, but there are a few posts that often blur the focus.
The posts that do blur the focus are those in which the author has placed an image, but no real content to go along with it. These posts, however, are far and few between.
The focus of the blog, for the most part is maintained by the author on a regular basis.
Content 
As I read through the content of MoneyMoose, I did enjoy the humour presented by the author. For the most part, the posts weren’t long and contain images that suit each post.
The longer posts were based on discussions the author has about various articles from other Web sites. The author has kindly included a link to each article, and writes a quick overview of the article. This is better than “scraping” the entire article from the providing Web site without a link, which many people do today.
When I examined the post dates I noticed that the author hasn’t posted anything in over a month. Previous to that, I noticed that he posted regularly. I’m hoping that the author begins to post again soon as it was a nice change to read through the funny posts on the world of business.
Besides the fact that the last post was over a month ago, each post provides an appropriate image and nice well-written content.
Spelling and Grammar 
The one big plus about MoneyMoose is the fact that each post is well-written with very few, if any, spelling and grammar mistakes. The author has definitely taken the time to proofread their work before it is published.
Overall
I enjoyed reading MoneyMoose, as I have generally taken the world of business and finance rather seriously. The author’s take on this world is a refreshing change.
I like the design of the blog, and how the author has neatly incorporated ads into the blog without preventing easy navigation around the blog. The colour scheme works nicely, and the content is easy to read. The quotation font could be larger to allow more visitors to read it easily.
The author, for the most part, has made the focus of the blog clear, while at the same time providing great, well-written content. The blog, however, will need a new post sometime soon as the last post was over a month ago.
Overall, if you enjoy business, or just plain humour, you should check out MoneyMoose.
