    Traffic Stats: July 2012

Last month seemed like a turning point in terms of traffic for Technically Easy. Throughout the month I noticed that traffic was higher than it had been in previous months, especially compared to the beginning of this year. By the end of the month, the total number of visitors had once again reached 100,000 for the month.

This is a good sign as Technically Easy hasn’t received 100,000 visitors for the month since January, and since that time the total visitors each month had dropped below 90,000. I’m hoping that this is a sign of better traffic going forward.

What is Pleasing in a Local Website Design

Google’s latest algorithm updates have focused more and more on local search results. With local companies getting more focus in today’s search results, of course their websites will also be getting the same amount of new attention. The problem with that is, most local company’s websites are absolutely terrible.

Many smaller, local companies began putting up websites years ago before the new era of web design hit the web and before standards were really ever laid out for how a website should look. Many others simply put one up because they were told that is what they should do, and with little know how- put up a terrible looking site and then forgot about it because they never really saw any benefits from it. As a result, the web is filled with terrible looking sites for local businesses.

    Traffic Stats: June 2012

Technically Easy didn’t see anything too exciting with regards to traffic levels in June. The steady trend of visitors that has been seen in the past couple of months continue throughout last month as well.

While having steady traffic is great, especially with Google’s algorithm changes, I am continuously looking for ways that I can increase the number of monthly visitors. I am more focusing on diversifying my traffic sources, which seems to be a harder task for me at the moment.

When you request a web page online there may be times where you may see an error page appear on the screen. While it can be frustrating to see such a page, mainly because that means the content you were looking for won’t appear, the error number that appears actually has meaning to the owner of the web site.

Optimizing The Benefits Of Web Images For Your Website

Web images are akin to a double-edged sword with conflicting sides. One helps you fight but the other fights against you. • Five Years Later

    Five Years Later

On June 23, 2007 Technically Easy came to life. I had been contemplating starting a blog for months before that day, and finally took the plunge by starting Technically Easy as a free Blogger blog. Just over a year later I moved to a self-hosted WordPress blog, mainly because I like the total control of all aspects of my blog that WordPress provides.

The original goal of Technically Easy was a place where I could write down any issues that I encountered while using a computer and include a solution to the issues. Over the years the blog goal of the blog has changed to discuss technology, in general, but I still like to write problem-solving and how-to posts from time to time.

4 Important Points Where a Guest Blogger Needs to Pay Attention

Guest Blogging is becoming very common among internet users now-a-days. Thousands of guest bloggers are available online with great competition between them. These guest bloggers work hard for writing new content or posts for other blogs to get a backlink to increase the traffic of their blog and to increase their online reputation.

Any blogger measures their value by the number of articles he has written for other blogs and the type of blogs where his articles have been published. Beside all this, there are certain pints where a guest blogger should pay more attention.
