Laptops were once the most expensive computer you could get, but now that they’ve become more affordable, it seems that everyone either has one or they’re thinking about getting one. Lots of laptop reviews talk about the latest developments in integrated graphics technology and hard drive capacity, but there’s not always a lot of attention given to the extras.


Most Useful Laptop Gadgets

There are some really cool laptop gadgets that make for the perfect companion to your new laptop, and there’s one for practically anything you can think of. Some are more functional that others, but here are a list of some of the most useful gadgets out there:

Cooling Pad

Depending on the model of your laptop, these devices can get really hot. Continued overheating can be bad for the computer, the motherboard, not to motion if you ever rest your laptop on your legs. Sometimes placing it on the wrong kind of surface that doesn’t absorb heat very well can be harmful, but you can get a cooling pad. Its function is all in the name and you won’t have to worry about this issue anymore. You simply place the laptop on the pad and it keeps your computer from overheating. It’s a must have for anyone that has issues with a computer that overheats frequently.

Anti-Scratch/Anti-Glare Screen Protectors

This is one of the biggest concerns for laptop users, because if anything happens to your laptop’s screen, that’s it. You’ll have to send it away to get it repaired or likely have to replace the whole thing. Accidents are going to happen no matter how careful you are. This is why anti-scratch and anti-glare screen protectors are so useful. They come in all sizes and will fit any screen or model laptop. They’re that extra protection against glares, dings, bumps, and drops. It also has the added benefit of making it easier to work outside because it’ll keep the glare from hitting your eyes. This is something that everyone should if they want to extend the life of their computer.

The Airport Express

This is perfect gadget for anyone who does a fair amount of traveling. It’s an all-in-one power source/adapter. You don’t have to worry about which country you’re in or which cord you remembered or didn’t remember. This way you have everything right there. It will power, not only your laptop, but also other electronic devices and it works anywhere. It supports cell phones, computers, Ethernet cords, and other things. It may not be the most attractive gadget, but it’s definitely the most useful one. You don’t have to be a businessperson to enjoy it. If you’re always worried about losing one of your half-dozen cords on your next trip, do yourself a favor and get an airport express.

This is a list of just a few of the products on the market. There’s a laptop gadgets for practically anything that you can imagine. If none of these options sound interesting to you, look online for other gadgets that you’d find worthwhile or just plain fun. Most are relatively affordable and can be found all over the web.

    What would be the most useful gadget for a student?Please suggest some more things with good features like Wireless internet, Notes taking,Dictionary and thesaurus, Mp3 and video playback.Thanks.

    It all is a very useful gadget especially the laptop cooler, it is useful to prevent excess heat in the laptop.

    It’s great.Agree with Salman, laptop doesn’t have cooling pads,you should it with charge.

    Hm.. It’s a really nice share. I really enjoyed using the laptop cooling dock since my laptop is really hot.

    I really like the Cooling Pad. Maybe I should check out how much it cost. Just don’t want one where the fans are too noisy.

      Many fans sold with computers an accessories tend to be quiet. Read user reviews about cooling pads to see if others have complained about the noise of the fans.

    I really love my laptop and I make sure that it is always updated. Among the gadgets mentioned above I only have a cooling pad. I would definitely try the Airport Express since I do a lot of traveling. Thank you for sharing about this wonderful gadgets.

      The Airport Express will definitely come in handy if you do a lot of traveling. While I have never owned a cooling pad, I have read about many people that have used them to keep their laptop cool.
