Password Storage Solutions – Why You Need One

The Importance of Password Storage Solutions

Unless you have been using a smart phone or PC for a long time, then there is no way you would know the importance of protecting your passwords.

However, you should be aware that there are “hackers” that can find your password information and eventually use it to commit identity fraud or theft.

Millions of victims fall prey to it every year but there is a way to stop it.

A password protection solution on your Internet device is more important than one might think.

The password storage manager not only protects your password but helps you remember your passwords.

It is very unsafe to use the same password for every one of your accounts on the Internet.

Password storage solutions can also help you create a secure password.

Many people create the easiest password for the most important and secure documents.

You may be oblivious of how easy it is for a hacker to figure out a password by just knowing a few things about you.

Password Storage Solutions: Finding One That Works For You

Now that you understand the importance behind finding password protection software, you need to find one to suit your needs.

There are hundreds of password protection software programs to help you make smart choices with your passwords.

The great invention behind software like this is that not just anyone can get it and start using it.

A crook may think that they can break into your software with the click of a button.

However, password protection is created to be user friendly and safe for the person using the device.

My favorite, Roboform, is a browser/computer based solution so my passwords are protected from the web altogether.

Beauty Behind Passwords

Imagine if someone got your most personal documents, bank account or social security numbers.

You would spend many years cleaning up the mess of identity theft.

Experts cannot stress enough the importance of finding password storage solutions to help secure your personal information away from the online world.

Getting password protection software for your device is one of the smartest moves you can make to protect your passwords.

Being safe online is not an easy task, but password storage solutions can make it a little simpler.

Protecting you and your family from the dangers of identity theft is the number of one goal of companies that offer this, so taking them up on their offer is the best possible choice you can make.

Finding and using one of the available password storage solutions will help ensure you keep your personal life private.

Just write the blasted things down. Use a different password for every site you subscribe to and keep them all written down in a notebook. If somebody breaks into your house then they’re going to take your computer and television, not a wad of paper than they find in a draw.

I used to have same password year ago but soon i realize that if one of my account is got hacked than other will also be in trouble. After that day i am using separate passwords for all my accounts now.

Hi Mohsin. Many people use the same password for all accounts, and I did so at one point as well. It is good to hear that you are now using a separate password for each account, which will help prevent hackers from accessing multiple accounts.

I like Roboform, but every time I update Firefox the plugin gets disabled for incompatibility. Very frustrating to say the least.

Though I didn’t experience hacks before, I had experienced forgetting my password. I know a lot of people who experienced this as well and like them; I had undergone time consuming process to retrieve my password. It had been a tiring, stressful experience which I don’t want to encounter again.

A good password storage solution will definitely help in avoid such a situation in the future.

Having good password management really pays off because sometimes passwords are lost and it is very time consuming to get one again.

That is true, Mark. With a password management software, retrieving lost passwords is all a matter of loading up the app.

Keeping you passwords secure is really difficult task, as hackers are capable enough to break your passwords. That’s why everyone recommends to keep your password strong and never share with anyone.

The best strong passwords are long passwords – at least 10 characters. To help manage my passwords I use LastPass, which is a terrific password storage solution.

Password security is really difficult if you’re new to interet world, It’s always better to have different passwords for all accounts you have like email id, facebook and so on. So that by breaching of one can’t cause you to lose other passwords as well.

    • Posted November 18, 2011 at 8:15 am | Permalink

You hit the nail on the head, Aanchal. If you use a different password for each account, then a breach of one account won’t cause a breach in all your accounts.

Having had trouble with hacked blogs few times, I know how important it is to secure your password. Also another good practices is to use different passwords for different accounts, we tend to keep the same because it is easy to remember but we are jeopardizing all the services we use that way.

I agree complete, Nishadha. Having a different password for each account is extremely important to protecting yourself. This is why a password storage solution is important.

great article! Haven’t really thought much about my password security and all until I read this!

    • Posted November 18, 2011 at 8:13 am | Permalink

Thanks, Corinne. Not too many people think about password security, mainly because they use the same password everywhere. The problem is once a hacker gets your password and user ID (which can be your e-mail), they can then determine which sites you visit and try to use the user ID and password on those sites. Managing different passwords for each site is easier with a password storage solution.

    Hey Paul,
I really hoped that this companies you are ellaborating could really keep their promise as “Protecting you and your family from the dangers of identity theft is the number of one goal “. It makes me feel well assured and secured fr their statement and I am applying one. By the way , thanks for the article cause it gives me a lot of new knowledge.

I currently use an online password storage solution called LastPass. I read about it and found that your passwords are completely safe with them, and they monitor connections to their systems very closely. It is important; however, to go with a solution that you trust as a lot is at stake if there was a security breach.
