When it Comes to Blogging Content is King

This is one of the most important things you can learn as a blogger. Content is by and large the most important thing when it comes to increasing traffic, generating more money or simply keeping your readers coming back.

Far too often bloggers put way too much attention into keywords, advertising, user interaction, social media and any of a number of ways to generate traffic. These are all effective and important strategies, but they all have one thing in common. If your content is awful, people are going to be leaving your site pretty quickly.

When it Comes to Blogging Content is King

Keywords are Important But Work Them In

Obviously you still need to use the keywords that you are targeting, but you need to work them in naturally whenever possible. The more forced they are, the less natural of a read your blog will be. If it’s not an easy, fun read, your audience is likely to dwindle or grow slowly.

It can take some planning, practice and skill but you should be able to work your keywords in without them being too out of place. That’s the way to go.

Keywords Won’t Get You Backlinks

In addition, one of the best ways to generate traffic and build recognition, in addition to improving your SEO, is to generate a lot of backlinks. The best and usually only way to do this is by offering quality, creative, entertaining content that people around the Internet want to share with their own customers and audiences.

If your content isn’t very good, you won’t get very many backlinks. That’s an even bigger problem than you think, too. Backlinks don’t just help your SEO; they can be necessary.

Bing Requires Backlinks To Index Sites

Bing is trying to compete with Google, and while Google is still dominant it is getting a bit closer over time. That means that more and more, attention needs to be paid to Bing when it comes to generating traffic. Since Bing requires backlinks to index a site, it is increasingly important to get as many as possible.

Overview

These are just a few of the reasons that content is vital for your blog to grow and generate revenue. Thus, spend more time than you think is necessary brainstorming good content. Do it while you’re on the run, even if you have to log onto your site from a coffee shop or restaurant. Just be safe and use a VPN service to keep your information secure.

Inspiration for content can be all around you, so tap in and find new, creative ideas.

Melissa is so correct that Content is King! People use the Internet to find information. Do your keyword research using Google Keywords first to determine what people are interested in reading. This enables you to target your content to satisfy demand. Don’t forget to write guest blogs for other websites to help you acquire high quality backlinks.

As a matter of fact content is how you get traffic and content is how you keep traffic happy. However, before people even read your content, there are red flags that HURT your content, and those red flags are design flaws.
