Welcome to tonight’s main event! Facing off in a battle for the ultimate Smartphone is the iPhone 4s (of course) and the highly competitive Droid 4. This battle is sure to be of epic magnitude and has, in fact, been brewing with tension for some time now. The current champ, iPhone 4s has seen great competition from the Droid 4, but has managed to remain the ultimate smartphone champion over the years. The iPhone 4s is the wily veteran with more experience, smarts and technique than its younger opponent. iPhone 4s is definitely the fan favorite. In the opposing corner, the Droid 4 comes into the fight in better shape and with vibrant optimism.
Are you ready? Let’s get it on…
Round One: Storage Capabilities
In the first round, the iPhone 4s and Droid 4 went toe to toe in the battle for ultimate storage capacity bragging rights. In this hard fought round, Droid 4 came out hitting hard with 16 GB of storage space and a removable 32 GB memory card. However, the iPhone 4s answered right back with 16, 32 and even 64 GB models. While, it was a close round, the iPhone 4s seemed to be more on the offensive the entire round, landing more punches, including 16 GB more memory than its Droid 4 opponent.
Winner: iPhone 4s
Round Two: Processor
The second round was continued domination by the iPhone 4s, as it came shooting out of its corner with a powerful dual-core A5 processor chip. The Droid did its best to compete, but simply yielded in comparison with a Dual-Core 1.2GHz , Dual-Channel RAM Processor. The round was tighter than it seemed, but when the bell sounded, the iPhone 4s seemed to put up more of a fight coming off of the previous rounds domination in the storage capabilities category. But Droid 4 still had something to prove in the next round.
Winner: iPhone 4s
Round Three: Design
In the third round action, the iPhone 4s seemed to be continuing with its domination of the fight as it threw haymaker after haymaker, landing several headshots, but then its attack quickly turned to exhaustion and sloppiness. Droid then capitalized with a more attractive design and easier to use interface. iPhone 4s may have had an impressively sleek design and plenty of fun apps, but the Droid 4 answered right back, mirroring and eventually edging out the iPhone 4s’ design capabilities.
Winner: Droid
Round Four: Price
In round four iPhone 4s came back into the fight with motivation and redemption on its mind. The iPhone 4s does not like to lose. But still fighting hard, came Droid 4 with furious body shots and thunderous jabs. All and all, these two smartphones matched up fairly evenly in the price round both coming in with their lowest price of $199.
This round is a draw.
Round Five: Operating System
This was the final round and with the iPhone 4s having won two rounds already, Droid 4 with one and a draw in the previous round, Droid 4 needed to win the Operating system final round for there to be a split decision. With that in mind, Droid 4 came out giving everything it had left in the tank for the final round, utilizing the Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) operating system. To counter, however, the iPhone 4s knew the fight may come down to the final round and had subsequently been saving a little something extra in reserve. That something extra was “the world’s most advanced operating system,” iOS 5. While, Droid 4′s operating system landed substantial jabs and body shots, iPhone 4s’ threw Droid 4 off balance, eventually landing a knockout blow. Droid 4 was down; 4…5…6 and iPhone 4s stood in its corner with the confidence of knowing Droid 4 would not likely get up. 7…8…9… Droid 4 stumbled to one knee, but fell once more. 10… you’re out and iPhone 4s is the champion of all smartphones.
Winner: iPhone 4s
The overall winner of this smartphone battle – the iPhone 4s!

For me, the price and the number of apps available in AppStore or Google Play is the deciding factor when I buy a smartphone. The review seems a bit unfair, because the main rival to iPhone4s is Samsung Galaxy 2 or HTC Sensation, but in the end the result will be the same.
Great comparison! I think the best is what works for each one of us. I personally like iPhone’s OS but Android’s OS is not that bad too. I’ve compared both with same apps and didn’t see huge differences!

Smartphone battle sure on a daily basis is a nail biting scenario. Apple and Androids are neck to neck when it comes to giving the most functional and also perhaps the thinnest device. Apple is immune as ever for the allowing a push in the malware like app. This point is what the apple inc. is benefited at! Most robust apps are available for Android OS relating to its openess.

Nice little comparison. And I’d say its pretty accurate based off of the phone you used to compare the two. However, I think that using the Droid 4 to represent Android is a little unfair as it isn’t really a high end device. Perhaps using a phone like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or even better the HTC One X would be a little more “fair.” Anyways, nice review!

The most important is the round four that is about price. The price of iphone4s and droid4 is very reasonable which have made me more interested about these 2 smartphones. Thanks for sharing these information’s with us.
I think price is a main deciding factor for people looking to purchase a smartphone. Another point to add is that those looking to buy a used phone can find a much cheaper droid. I’ve noticed that iPhones seem to hold their value! Thanks for reading Elijah
Totally agree! iPhone is the best phone on the market, iOS rocks!
