thanks, I’ve now followed your guide and reinstalled 10.4 and have finally managed to get ITunes working again.

Thanks – you are a star. I had exactly the same on mine, ie updated to 10.5 and everything sounded like a dalek. Thought was quicktime at first so re-installed that and tested quicktime working fine, winamp playing fine therefore must be itunes. Reinstalled – no different. Installed earlier version and wouldnt pick up the library. Found your info and all works great now. Been at this all day !!!!! Thanks a lot, from Richard !!!

hey there, i went into my music, but there’s no file named “itunes libarry itl. ”
but i still get the message saying the same thing. please help!!
