This is one of those posts that is going to be golden to someone who needs that info “right now”. Thank goodness for Technically Easy and how you share information. Thank you!

I am taking a self paced security course.

The instructor amazed me by explaining that Goggle – default password yields a couple hundred… and, yes, most of the ones you listed are there.

I have been a geek since going to work at NASA as an apprentice in 1968. I know a little about a lot. I was an electrician, an electronics tech, added computer interfacing and programming, wrote ‘driver’ interfaces, got into PLC control. Retired as a controls engineer in a high energy wind tunnel (Mach 4,5 up to mach 8), with a BS in Comp Sci. I mention this to point out how the progression of my experience grew as technology advanced. Now I am the head of the computer network department at a local college. I like teaching.

I constantly read to stay current with advancements, and I constantly look for articles that explain technology slightly differernt than I do. I love train the trainer get togethers, and always learn something from other instructors.

My compliments on your blog. You get it right. You explain it well, you keep it simple. There is nothing unflattering about keeping it simple. It is a style I have worked hard to develop. Now it feels natural.

When you are ready to take a pay cut, like after retirement, please consifering teaching. We need more teachers. We have enough instructors. Hats off for a job well done. Keep it up.

There is a reward to seeing the ‘light come on’ in a student’s eyes.
