Hello. I tried to set up my router yesterday, but I entered the IP address I had at the time I set it up. I was following some other instructions online that were not very clear. I managed to secure the network and figure out how to enter my passphrase, but I can't get on now - it won't validate. I'm guessing this is because I no longer have that IP address that I told the router to accept. I don't know what that address was now, though. I've been looking online for help. How do I sign back on to change the IP address back to the one in this article if I don't have that number? Thank you!

Do you see an option for WPA-PSK? If so, then select that option, which should allow you to enter your passphrase. That setting depends on the revision of the route you are using. Revisions A and C have the WPA-PSK option, while revision D has the dropdown list containing the WPA and WPA2 options.

I have modified the post to include the options for the three revisions.

Would you be able to send me a screenshot of what you see? I'm not sure why you aren't provided with the PSK option.

Hi Paul, I have the same problem as Jorn was hoping you might be able to tell me steps I have to take to secure my router

Jorn wrote - The problem is when I select WPA to prevent others from connecting, I don`t have Cypher Type. instead I have encryption which I select AES. then I don`t have any option for PSK /EAP. then it doesn`t ask me for Passphrase. instead, it asks me about “802.1X Settings” which contains questions about “RADIUS Server IP”, “RADIUS port” and “RADIUS Shared Key”.

Hope you can help

I have a question. so I secured my wireless. recently I couldn't connect to the Internet ( because of the providers) so I connected to some unprotected wireless network. and when I connected back to my wireless network my password was already written and only have to press connect. My question is, is it only to me that it appears this way or to the others as well? In other words, shouldn't I be asked for my password every time I connect to my wireless network?
